Jasprit Bumrah is one of the best bowlers on the Indian cricket team. He is a part of the team in every format of the game.

He grab the opportunity to play IPL as a 19-year old teenager and grasped the instant limelight when he finished with figures of 3/32 against Royal Challengers Bangalore in his IPL debut.

Though he played just a couple of games during the Pepsi IPL 2013 for Mumbai Indians, however later he became one of the bowling assets of his franchise.

Jasprit Bumrah played a total of 106 matches and took 130 wickets with an economy of 7.41. He is number 10 in our list of top 10 best bowlers in IPL history.

9 Yuzi Chahal

Yuzvendra Chahal is an Indian cricketer and currently the player of the Rajasthan Royals as a leg-break bowler in the IPL.

Chahal was first signed up by Mumbai Indians in 2011. His amazing spell of 2 for 9 in 3 overs in the Final against Royal Challengers Bangalore, helped Mumbai Indians to clinch the title.

At the later stages of the game, he was bought by the Royal Challengers and proved his worth for the team with his amazing spells.

The wrist-spinner has a total of 139 wickets in 114 matches in the IPL. He has always been a significant player for the Royals Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Chahal is number 9 in our list of top 10 best bowlers in IPL history.

8 Bhuvneshwar Kumar

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is an Indian international cricketer and a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League.

Bhuvi is regarded as one of the best Indian bowlers capable of swinging the bowl in both ways.

He got the Indian Premier League (IPL) contract from the Royal Challengers Bangalore. However, his glorious days at the IPL started when he was signed by Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2014.

He is part of the Sunrisers team that won the 2016 Indian Premier League. He took a total of 23 wickets and won the Purple Cap. Bhuvneshwar is number 8 in our list of top 10 best bowlers in IPL history.

7 Sunil Narine

Sunil Narine is one of the top spinners in world cricket. He has been a part of different (T20) franchise leagues around the world and played a total of more than 300 T20 matches.

As of 2021, he presently plays for Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

In the 2018 Indian Premier League, he became the most valuable player in the league. He had two MVP awards, since his debut season in the 2012 Indian Premier League.

6 R Ashwin

Ravichandran Ashwin is an Indian international cricketer. He is a right-arm off-break spin bowler who plays for Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League.

In 2016, he became the third Indian to win the ICC Cricketer of the Year award. He is also regarded to be one of the best spin bowlers of all time.

The evolution of Ashwin started in the 2010 Indian Premier League in which he was part of Chennai Super Kings. His exception bowling in 2010 and the later years made him one of the best bowlers in IPL.

5 Harbhajan Singh

Harbhajan Singh is a specialist spin bowler and was captain of the Indian Premier League team Mumbai Indians. Under his captaincy, Mumbai won the 2011 Champions League Twenty20.

His performance at the IPL speaks for itself. He played a total of 163 matches and took 150 wickets in his whole IPL career.

He was also part of the World Cup-winning team of the 2011 Cricket World Cup. Harbhajan Singh is number 5 in our list of top 10 best bowlers in IPL history.

4 Piyush Chawla

Piyush Chawla is an Indian cricketer who has played for the India national cricket team. He is probably one of the best leg spinners in the IPL known for his wicket-taking abilities. 

Chawla’s most memorable memories are with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). He has been a part of the KKR team which won 2012 and 2014 IPL. 

His skill with the ball and ability to read pitch conditions make him a worthy bet for all of his franchises during his career. He played a total of 165 matches and took 157 wickets in the IPL.

3 Amit Mishra

Amit Mishra is an attacking right-arm leg-break bowler and currently part of the T20 franchise Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League.

He has been the bowler with the most hat-tricks in the IPL history. For his performances in 2013, he was named in the Cricinfo IPL XI.

He had played a total of 154 matches and took 166 wickets in the IPL. Amit Mishra is number 3 in our list of top 10 best bowlers in IPL history.

2 Dwayne Bravo

Dwayne Bravo is a world-class all-rounder, right-handed batsman, and right-arm medium-fast bowler. He is especially known for his fierce batting in the lower order.

During his peak, he was considered one of the best death bowlers in T20 Cricket. Dwayne Bravo played for the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League for the first three seasons.

Later he was picked up by the Chennai Super Kings during the 2011 IPL Auctions. Since then he never looked back.

He was one of the most sought players in the 2012 IPL playing for Chennai Super Kings scoring 461 runs at an average of 57 with a strike rate of 178.

Bravo equally performed well in the 2013 IPL playing for Chennai Super Kings, taking 32 wickets at an average of 9.15 to win the Purple Cap.

1 Lasith Malinga

Lasith Malinga is a Sri Lankan former cricketer who is widely considered as one of the greatest limited-overs bowlers of all time.

Malinga is a right-arm fast bowler, mostly known for his death bowling and his distinctive round-arm action.

Malinga’s performance during the 2011 IPL in impressive, winning the Purple Cap for taking the most wickets in the competition – 28 out of 16 games. 

Malinga has played for the Indian Premier League (IPL) team Mumbai Indians since 2008. He evolved to become their leading bowler in this format and also the leading bowler in the competition in terms of wickets taken.

He picked up the 100th IPL wicket of his IPL career during the 2013 Indian Premier League in a league stage match against Kings XI Punjab. Malinga then became the first bowler ever to reach the milestone of 100 wickets in IPL history.
