Ronald Koeman believes that Barcelona is underestimated and better than people think.

Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman believes that his team is better than what people think after they defeated Celta Vigo 3-0 in an away fixture in La Liga.

Ansu Fati strikes early as usual and scored the first goal for Barca against Celta Vigo. Barcelona strikes twice in the second half despite operating with 10 men after Clement Lenglet got the red card just before the half time.

Koeman’s started shaping the Barcelona team since the arrival at Camp Nou. He believes that this Barcelona team is better than the previous one. Barcelona started strongly under Koeman with 2 wins in 2 matches of La Liga.

After a trophyless season and a devastating defeat against Bayern Munich in the Champions League, affected Barcelona’s stature in football. Koeman is confident that Barcelona will turn the table this season.

Koeman said, “We have done an excellent job, I am very pleased with the performance. We have worked with a lot of preparation with one less and we have produced some good chances. I’m very happy,”

“It was crucial to talk to the team at halftime, about the system. We have been very compact. In the end, the result is fair.

I cannot comment on what happened last year. From day one I have seen the players very hungry. They have trained with great strength, they play as they train. Today they have shown until the last second, on a difficult field, that we are very well physically.

“Like any coach, I need time, but the team is much better than you might think. We have six points, we have scored seven goals and we have not conceded any. This shows that we are growing.”

Koeman replied when questioned about Lenglet’s red card, “Yes, it was a foul, but you can argue whether it was a card or not. It is a decision by the referee that does not have to be discussed. It was more important to know how to play with 10.”

Barcelona has got a fabulous start under Koeman. Barcelona’s next match is against Sevilla on Sunday at Camp Nou. Julen Lopetegui’s team has also started their campaign with a win over Cadiz and Levante. It would be interesting to watch who will come on top.
