BARCELONA RONALD KOEMAN:-

Former Barcelona player Gerard Deulofeu recalls his time at Everton and criticized his former manager Ronald Koeman.

Deulofeu, who was a product of La Masia youth system has spent his time at Everton in 2016-17 but later he was sent out on loan to one of the great Italian club AC Milan. After leaving Everton, Koeman took the charge of Netherland national team, and recently he has been appointed as a head coach of Barcelona after the humiliating defeat against Bayern Munich in Champions League quarter-final.

Deulofeu told Catalunya Radio “I can tell you about Koeman from my personal experience, and I have very little to tell you about Koeman,”

“He provided me absolutely nothing as a coach. I wasn’t happy under his leadership and I asked to leave and I went to Milan. We’ll see how he does at the Camp Nou.”

President Josep Maria Bartomeu said on Tuesday about the appointment of Ronald Koeman as a head coach of Barcelona.

Victor Font who is another candidate for the next year’s election said that if he wins next year’s election, Koeman will not going to continue as a head coach of Barcelona.

After the Watford’s relegation from the English Premier league Deulofeu once again started searching for a new club.

Deulofeu left Everton in 2017 with an intention to return to his dream club Barcelona, but after two unsuccessful and failed seasons he says he doesn’t care or bother about Barcelona’s recent crisis.

Deulofeu said, “The truth is that Barcelona’s recent situation does not bother me, in fact, right now, I don’t care.”

Deulofeu was one of the golden boys of La Masia youth academy, but he failed to make a greater impact on the team in recent season.

Ansu Fati and Riqui Puig are breathtaking young talent who came from the youth academy and cemented their place into the first team and Barcelona have full faith in both young talents. It was started under Pep Guardiola when La Masia product started to shine and they became the next big thing during the golden period of Barcelona.

Barcelona has spent a big chunk of money for signing Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele, and Antoine Griezmann but they have failed to contribute to the team in very crucial matches while the rest of the big players like Messi, Suarez, Busquets, Jordi Alba, and Gerard Pique are catching up with the age.

Deulofeu further added “At Barcelona, they have not had patience with La Masia for years,” .“If you give young players an ample amount of time, they learn the style of the first team.

“There are players, many of us have come from there, but not patience. Now there will be changes, but they are years behind.”
