10. Bernard Hopkins – Oldest World Champion

Bernard Hopkins is an American former professional boxer who contested from 1988 to 2016. He is one of the most thriving boxers of the past three decades, having held numerous world championships in two weight classes.

In 2001, Hopkins was voted Fighter of the Year by The Ring magazine and the Boxing Writers Association of America. In 2011 Hopkins defeated Jean Pascal for the WBC and lineal light heavyweight titles and regained the Ring title.

This made Hopkins the oldest boxer in the history of the game to win a world championship, at the age of 46, breaking George Foreman’s record set in 1994.

Later Hopkins broke his own record by besting the IBF light heavyweight title from Tavoris Cloud in 2013, and again in 2014 when he won the WBA (Super) title from Beibut Shumenov, at ages 48 and 49, respectively.

Wilfredo Gomez sometimes referred to as Bazooka Gómez, is a Puerto Rican former professional boxer and three-time world champion.

His seventeen consecutive knockouts in championship defenses is a record for all boxing divisions. He was rated number 13 on The Ring magazine’s list of the “100 greatest punchers of all time”.

Wilfredo Benitez is a New York-born Puerto Rican former professional boxer and the youngest world champion in the sport’s history. Earning his first of three career world titles in separate weight divisions at the age of seventeen.

Benitez is best recognized as a competent and fierce fighter with outstanding defensive abilities. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1996.

7. Manny Pacquiao – The Only Octuple Champion

Pacquiao is the only eight-division world champion in the history of the game to win twelve major world titles. In other terms, this feat is technically referred to as the Octuple champion.

He was the first boxer to win the lineal championship in five different weight classes. 6: Muhammad Ali – Three-time Undisputed Heavyweight Champion

Muhammad Ali was an American professional boxer and activist. He was also known for his Nickname “The Greatest”.

He is widely considered one of the most important and renowned sports figures of the 20th century and is often ranked as the greatest heavyweight boxer of all time.

In 1999, he was anointed Sportsman of the Century by Sports Illustrated and the Sports Personality of the Century by the BBC.

He won the world heavyweight championship from Sonny Liston in a major upset on February 25, 1964, at age 22.

He battled in several historic boxing matches, such as his highly hyped fights with Sonny Liston, Joe Frazier, and his fight with George Foreman in The Rumble in the Jungle.

Jimmy Wilde was a Welsh professional boxer who contested from 1911 to 1923. He held the IBU world flyweight title in 1916, and the EBU European flyweight title twice.

He is often considered the greatest British fighter of all time, he was the first official world flyweight champion and was rated by many other professionals and fans including a former boxer, trainer, and manager as “the Greatest Flyweight Boxer Ever”.

Wilde gained various nicknames such as, “The Mighty Atom,” “Ghost with the Hammer in His Hand” and “The Tylorstown Terror” due to his bludgeoning punching power.

Len Wickwar was a British boxer who fought between 1928 and 1947, mostly as a lightweight. He combated more verified professional fights than any other boxer in history at 473 with 4,020 rounds fought in his 19-year career.

Boxrec has disclosed that between the years 1928 and 1947, Wicker amassed a record of 339 wins in 467 professional fights. A record that surely looks impeccable and just impossible to break in the future.

3. Archie Moore – Most Knockouts in Career

Archie Moore was an American professional boxer and the longest-reigning World Light Heavyweight Champion of all time (December 1952 – May 1962).

He had one of the most extended professional careers in the history of the sport, competing from 1935 to 1963. He was known with Nickname “The Mongoose”, and then “The Old Mongoose” in the latter half of his career.

Moore was an approvingly strategic and defensive boxer. As of December 2020, BoxRec rates Moore as the third greatest pound-for-pound boxer of all time.

He also ranks fourth on The Ring‘s list of “100 greatest punchers of all time”.His record reaches in on an amazing 183 bouts, with 131 coming by way of Knockout.

2. Eric Crumble’s 31 Consecutive Losses By KO

Eric Crumble is an American former boxer, and notably one of the sport’s most prolific in terms of constant losses.

Since his professional debut on June 22, 1990, Crumble has partaken in 32 fights and has lost everyone with the exception of a no-contest in 1994.

1. George Foreman Two Decades Between World Title Reigns

George Foreman is an American former professional boxer, entrepreneur, minister, and author. He was known by the nickname “Big George” and competed between 1967 and 1997.

Foreman is a two-time world heavyweight champion and an Olympic gold medalist.  He defended the belt twice before suffering his first professional loss to Muhammad Ali in the iconic Rumble in the Jungle in 1974.

 He was 46 years and 169 days old, becoming the oldest world heavyweight champion in history. Foreman is the oldest to ever win the world heavyweight boxing championship of major honors, and the second-oldest in any weight class after Bernard Hopkins (at light heavyweight).

He retired in 1997 at the age of 48, with a final record of 76 wins (68 knockouts) and 5 losses. In 2002, he was anointed one of the 25 greatest fighters of the past 80 years by The Ring. The Ring rated him as the ninth-greatest puncher of all time.
