10. Rodney Marsh

Rodney Marsh was an Australian professional cricketer who played as a wicketkeeper for the Australian national team.

By the time he retired from the game, he has set an impeccable record of 355 wicket-keeping dismissals which he achieved in just 96 Tests matches.

He was known for his athletic keeping. Marsh took a total of 343 catches. Marsh also had a total of 124 dismissals in 92 innings during his 92 One Day International appearances between 1971 and 1984.

9. Andy Flower

Andy Flower is a former Zimbabwean cricketer who played as a wicket-keeper. He made his Test debut in 1994 and retired in 2003.

After playing in 47 Tests and scoring 1,555 runs with the bat including three centuries and 15 half-centuries. He also kept wickets for Zimbabwe in ODIs until 1999.

The flower was born on April 28, 1968, growing up, he idolized Martin Crowe. As a cricketer, he captained the Zimbabwe national cricket team.

He was Zimbabwe’s wicket-keeper for more than 10 years and is, statistically, the greatest batsman the country has ever produced.

During his peak from October to December 2001, Flower was rated as the best Test batsman in the world.

In June 2021, he was placed in the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame and became the first-ever Zimbabwean to be inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame.

8. Moin Khan

Moin Khan is another great wicketkeeper-batsman. He played for Pakistan in Test cricket and One Day Internationals. He was a wicketkeeper and a very good batsman.

Moin Khan had a batting average of 35 in Test cricket which shows his ability as well as consistency at the crease.

He played for Pakistan from 1990 to 2004 and achieved many records during his career such as becoming the first Pakistani player to take 100 catches in test matches.

He has scored over 3,000 ODI runs and taken over 200 catches in ODI cricket. Moin also had 287 dismissals in 209 innings during his 219 One Day International appearances.

7. Jeffrey Dujon

Jeffrey Dujon was a West Indian cricketer who played for the West Indies. He was a wicketkeeper, who was noted for his athleticism, agility, and strong hands.

During his nineteen-year career, Dujon played a total of 200 first-class matches for Jamaica and the West Indies.

Dujon also had a record of 447 catches and 22 stumping during his career. He had a total of 270 dismissals in 81 test matches during his international test career. Dujon also scored over 5000 runs in international cricket.

6. Brendon McCullum

Brendon McCullum is a former New Zealand cricketer and current cricket commentator and presenter. He is a right-handed batsman who also keeps wickets and bowls right-arm medium pace.

McCullum was well-known for his quick scoring, notably recording the fastest test century of all time. He is regarded as one of the most successful batsmen and captains of New Zealand cricket. 

McCullum had 179 dismissals in 101 test matches during his international test career.  He is one of the greatest wicket keepers of all time, with a catching record of 168 and 11 stumps.

5. Kumar Sangakkara

Kumar Sangakkara is a former Sri Lankan cricketer. Sangakkara was a left-handed batsman and right-arm off-break bowler who played for Sri Lanka as well as Hampshire.

He is widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen in the history of the sport. Additionally, he holds the record for the most wicket-keeping dismissals in ODI cricket.

He accumulated a total of 131 catches with 20 stumpings. Sangakkara managed 482 total dismissals of 353 in 404 ODI matches. 

His amazing catching abilities behind the stumps make him one of the greatest wicketkeepers of all time.

In June 2021, he was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame and became the second Sri Lankan to be inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame after Muttiah Muralitharan.

Ian Healy is one of the best wicket keepers to have ever played cricket. Healy was a member of the Australian team from 1988 to 1999.

He is a specialist wicketkeeper and a proper right-hand middle-order batsman. Healy took a total of 366 catches and stumped 29 batsmen during his career.

Mark Boucher was a South African cricketer who played as a wicket-keeper batsman. He made his debut in 1996 and played 147 tests and 295 ODIs.

Boucher is regarded as one of the best wicket-keeper batsmen of all time, and holds the record for the most Test dismissals by a wicket-keeper, with 532 catches and 555 total dismissals.

Gilchrist has been known as one of the greatest batsmen ever to play this game with his aggressive batting style that earned him the nickname ‘Gilly’ from his mates at school.

He was an attacking left-handed batsman and record-breaking wicket-keeper. Gilchrist is widely regarded as one of the greatest wicket-keeper-batsmen in the history of the game.

He held the world record for the most dismissals by a wicket-keeper in One Day International (ODI) cricket until it was overtaken by Kumar Sangakkara in 2015.
