Werner said to Chelsea’s official website, “The working experience with the manager has been great. He’s been like a mentor who comes up with an explanation for the whole team, not just me, he knows the potential that how much can a team do on the pitch and what we would do to improve from the last season”.

“He’s been excellent to work with and he’s been discussing his plans for the future, and what we have to do to reach the level of the teams like Man City and Liverpool.

“I think Chelsea is one of a big club of Premier League and with the team we have, we can reach a new level. We have some outstanding players here and the manager is there to show us the path and help us improve.”

“We’ve worked a lot on tactical things, and our strength and fitness, to make sure we are ready for the start of the season.”

Werner was breathtaking throughout the season for RB Leipzig. Werner was a part of 45 matches for RB Leipzig in the 2019-20 season, scoring 35 goals with 13 assist to his name. Werner settled with his new team and players and much excited to start the new season with Chelsea.

Werner added, “I know the way from my home to the training ground now, so that’s good!”

“That’s important, knowing your way around your new surroundings and we have also trained at the stadium so now I know my way to Stamford Bridge as well.”

“My apartment is very nice, I feel happy there and also the city of London is brilliant. For me, London is one of the best cities in the world, so I’m really thrilled.”

“When you take a few days away, the weather was also very good! Yes, I’m very thrilled and settling in well.”

Werner is eager to start a new campaign and make his debut when Chelsea will go up against Brighton in their first Premier League game on September 14.
