John Barnes disappointed when he came to know about the transfer links of Harry Kane with the top clubs of Europe.
One of the best striker(Harry Kane)in European football is heavily linked with the big money transfer move to Manchester United.
According to reports,whopping transfer fee of 200 million has been reported for the Englishmen.Transfer linkup for the Harry Kane is mainly due to fact that Tottenham unable to deliver a major silverware and Kane also admitting that it is the right time to seek move out of Tottenham and consider offers which are coming from the top clubs in Europe.
Kane is still waiting to win a major silverware and his ambition is edging him to take a move out of Tottenham.
Barnes feels that Kane should be helping the spurs to win the silverware instead to taking an easy option and seeking a move to another club.He said that when you have to achieve something you have to be committed to that cause instead of pick and choose.
He further added”it’s a bit sad when player say that[wanted to move out of the club when it doesn’t meet their trophy ambitions].
“I remember Wayne Rooney said that about Man United and he got a new contract from United. That’s a modern phenomenon.
“Rooney was the first person who came out and said that about the club’s ambition matching his own, Ferguson wasn’t particularly happy with this, but he had to give him a new contract.
“But fans accept that now, which I don’t like and agree on it, because fans should understand that your club is the most important aspect, and if players are not committed to the club unless you’re winning, then you shouldn’t represent and be at the club.
“What he [Harry Kane] should say is ‘I’m going to be the player to stay at Tottenham and help them to win league and major Tournaments in European football.
“As Bill Shankly said, ‘If you can’t play for us when we lose, don’t play for us when we’re winning,’ so if you’re a player of a particular team, you’re part of the reason you’re not winning the big things.
“So, if you think you’re better than the other players in your team, and you think your team-mates are responsible for not winning, rather than looking at yourself, then that’s a big mistake and sign for a bigger problem for football club. So, that is not a good thing to say.”
Kane is one of the best striker and if he is available in the transfer market it means that there will be bet on him from the top clubs of Europe,however Manchester United is more likely to be the the one who will go for Harry Kane instead of the big clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona.
