Manchester United and Van de Beek a perfect match – Van der Vaart

VAN DE BEEK TRANSFER:-

Rafael van der Vaart believes Donny van de Beek deserves a switch to Manchester United as he complimented the Dutchman ahead of his transfer to Red Devils(Manchester United).

Manchester United are settling on the signing of Ajax midfielder Van De Beek after agreeing on an agreement over a fee with the Ajax. Van De Beek seen left out of the friendly match against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Van de Beek had been one of the consistent performers and assist providers for Ajax and been linked to Barcelona and Real Madrid multiple times however the dutchmen are set to be ready for the Premier League. Reports claimed that Manchester United will seal the deal for Ajax midfielder for around £40 million (€45m/$53m).

Former Ajax attacking midfielder and Netherlands international Van der Vaart, who was also a part of the Premier League in which he represented Tottenham admired the qualities of Van de Beek and considers that the signing would be a great addition in the Manchester United squad.

Van der Vaart told NOS “Donny deserves this transfer so much,”. “He has been an exceptional player for Ajax.

“And Manchester United really need this kind of player in their team. This transfer is excellent for us too. We are all going to follow him now. This move is so deserved.”

Academy product Van de Beek is one of the best young players from the Ajax youth academy, Van De Beek has been a part of Eredivisie giant for almost 5 years. He has played almost 200 matches across all competition for the Ajax.

Van de Beek was also a part of that glorifying team who reached the Champions League semi-final after defeating the big European clubs like Real Madrid and Juventus in 2018-19.

Van De Beek was phenomenal throughout that season. He was the starter in almost all matches for Ajax. He played 57 matches in the 2018-19 season and scored 17 goals and assisted 13 times to his teammates.

He scored eight Eredivisie goals and assisted five times which turns to the goal. He scored 10 goals for Ajax across all competition in the 2019-20 season.

Ajax coach Erik Ten Hag had given a hint about his future after he was left out of Ajax’s squad for a friendly match which was against Frankfurt.

Erik Ten Hag said ” The fact that Donny was not a part of the squad does indicate a direction. “The request not to let him play did not come specifically from one side. We do that together.

“Agreements have been made about a potential move out, and if that possibility arises, you must also co-operate.”

Eredivisie next season will be going to start on September 13 and Ajax will go against Sparta Rotterdam. The Eredivisie 2019-20 season has been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic hit the globe, with leaders Ajax denied the league title and no relegation from the Eredivisie.
