LIVERPOOL SIGN MESSI:-

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher believes that Liverpool will not go after the Barcelona Talisman Lionel Messi. He further added that there is a possibility that Messi can come to the Premier League and the only team that can sign him is former Premier League champions Manchester City.

Barcelona’s shocking defeat against Bayern Munich in quarter-finals made Messi frustrated and he thinks that Barcelona cant provide a healthy project to work on and thinks that the life at Barcelona is over for him.

Messi shocked everyone with the desire to leave Camp Nou after a long career at Barcelona. The top European teams who want to sign Messi are Manchester City, Paris Saint Germain, Inter and Juventus but according to the latest rumours, Messi will only leave Barcelona for Manchester City to work with his former coach Pep Guardiola.

On Friday the vote of no confidence has been filed against the Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu and the current board members to save Messi from leaving Barcelona.

There are a lot of clubs interested to sign Messi after they came to know about Messi’s desire to leave Camp Nou, but the former Liverpool player Carragher feels there is only one club in England who can sign him.

Carragher told Sky Sports when questioned on whether he sees Messi leaving Barcelona for Manchester City, “I hope so, I would love to see the best player playing in the Premier League,”

“I want to see him play at Premier League, every League or a team wants the best player on his side. The obvious place, the only place he can really go to is Manchester City.

“With the equation that he’s got with Pep Guardiola and the financial clout the club has got.

“I don’t think the Reds will go after Lionel Messi. Financially Liverpool will not able to pull off the signing of Lionel Messi and the other reason is the way Liverpool plays. Liverpool plays more energetically while City plays more technical and that would suit Messi a bit more.

“But how you get the deal done is a bit strange as we all know the figures involved to sign him, I’m not too sure. It’s mind-boggling.”

Messi has a release clause of incredible €700m, that’s insane, but it believes that Messi’s legal team revealed there is another clause in his contract that could help him to terminate his contract with Barcelona, which means that he could leave Camp Nou on a free transfer.

Paris Saint Germain and Inter are the two top teams highly interested to sign Messi but reports claimed that Messi will only Leave Barcelona for Manchester City.
