Arsenal is turning the table in Premier League while Arteta believed improving Arsenal has a long way to go.
Mikel Arteta the Arsenal boss said that his team is moving in the right direction and made great improvement in recent months but still not meeting the standards that he was hoping for.
Arsenal has started the season badly but they have turned the table in a recent couple of fixtures. They have won seven of their last 12 Premier League games scoring whopping 22 goals, which is quite impressive comparing to the first 10 to 15 matches.
After turning the fate of the season they still remain 10th in the table that shows the competitive level of Premier League. Arsenal is on 37 points, 10 points behind to secure their place for the Champions League next season.
When the question is asked to Arteta, how close Arsenal was to being a team in his own image, Arteta replied – “Very far. Very, very far. There’s still a lot to improve, a lot of quality to add.

“We need to be much more effective in decision-making, much quicker to open situations up. We require more control of games in the field, more defensive efforts in the opponent’s half, fewer giveaways, more clean sheets. There’s a lot to work on, more goals, more creativity.
“When you see at the league table it is not admissible. We are Arsenal and we should be nowhere near here. If somebody is satisfied with that he is in the wrong place.”
Arteta further added that the last victory against Leicester City with a 3-1 shows that we are in the right direction.
He further added, “When you see at the prior game that we played against them a few months ago, and you see at where the team is right now, I think it’s always a good way of seeing the improvement, and I’ve seen that”.
Arsenal next match is against the Burnley which is on saturday.
