1 How Semrush Can Help You Find Blog Post Ideas
Semrush is a tool that allows you to see what kind of content your competitors are writing quickly. It’s great for finding topics related to your niche, which is essential when trying to develop blog post ideas.
When using Semrush, you’ll have access to the most popular content on their site. This means if someone has written something similar in the past, it will show up in this list.
This is an especially helpful feature because it gives you an idea of what people want to consume on a regular basis. Plus, since they’re already interested in this type of information they’re more likely to click through your posts as well.
The process is straightforward, find the topic, write and optimize content, measure the impact on search rankings, and analyze the performance at the last.
2 Find your keyword rankings
Finding your keyword ranking is really necessary to understand where you belong. If you know where you stand you know how to plan ahead and improve things.
There are tons of tools to track keyword ranking but why go for another paid tool when Semrush is already providing you?
Once you’re on the Semrush dashboard, go to the domain overview section and enter your website URL and search for it. Now go to the top organic keywords section to check the keyword your website is ranking.
With Semrush you can see the position of your keywords, and analytical data which also includes search volume, competition level, and much more.
So, you know where you stand, and now take a look at what your competitors are ranking for. Enter your competitor into the search bar at the top and go to the same report to see this data.
Now it’s time to research competitors go to the Organic Research Competitors report and find out the top keywords which are bringing a lot of traffic to them.
Once you discover your competitor, go to the domain’s Organic Positions report. Here you can get a glimpse of their top-performing keywords.
Find a keyword that you think is the best to write on the basis of keyword difficulty and search volume.
You can check that out with the Keyword Overview report. This will tell you about the keyword with information like monthly search volume and other key metrics.
Phrase Match and Related Keywords reports help you further in discovering more detailed ideas. Related Keywords report shows related keywords to the keyword you explored.
3 Finding Blog Post Ideas Using Long Tail Keyword Research
The best way to find long-tail keywords is using SEMrush. The software will help you find relevant keywords and their search volume.
To find long tail keywords with SEMrush, simply go to the Keywords Magic Tool in the left-hand menu, then click on the Search to find long tail keywords.
This will show you all of the different keywords related to your main topic. You’ll be able to see how many searches each keyword gets on Google every month (and which ones have the most searches).
The next step would be to filter out any keywords that are too broad or generic (e.g., “best keyword tools for SEO”).
You can also determine relevant and important keywords that have search volumes. Keyword research is all about glancing at the search volume and the keyword difficulty for a particular phrase.
Once you’ve done this, look through your results and add any relevant keywords to your list that aren’t already there.

Go to the Content marketing tab in SEMrush, and click on the topic research. Once you clicked on topic research you get a ton of ideas and topics to write on.
You can also find subtopics and interesting questions to write on for increasing organic traffic.
5 Spy on Competitor’s Top Ranking Keywords Using Semrush
Are you looking for a good way to spy on your competitors? SemRush is a tool that can help you do just that. It can be used to spy on your competitors and find out what keywords they are ranking for and how often they rank for them.
For example, let’s say that I want to see what keywords my competitor ranks for, but I don’t have access to their Google Analytics account. I could use SemRush to check out the keywords that my competitor has ranked for in the past one month or so.
This will give me an idea of what areas of their website are performing well and which ones aren’t performing as well.
You can also use this tool to find out how many organic visits a website receives from the search engines each month or year.
You can also see which pages on a website receive most of its organic traffic from search engines and which ones don’t receive much at all!

It also shows you how much traffic each keyword is receiving on average per month, so you can focus your efforts on keywords with the most traffic potential.
To use this tool, simply type in any keyword into the box provided and click “Search!” You can then sort through the results by Traffic, CPC, or Volume.
