The sixth time Ballon D’or winner Can leave the Camp Nou for free at the end of any season thus increases the further conjecture over his future at the club.
But according to former president Joan Laporta, it would be very easy for Messi to extend the contract with the club that he admires the most.
Laporta told Deportes Cuatro on Wednesday”[Messi] will have no concern renewing his contract with Barcelona”
Laporta said he would love to bring the Brazilian international(Neymar Jr) back to Camp Nou if possible, where he became one of the best players playing alongside Messi for four seasons before his departure to Paris Saint Germain in 2017.
He said”They were not clear with him,I would bring him back for sure.”
Laporta is highly interested in bringing Xavi back to Camp Nou, he is a great admirer of Xavi, and Barcelona great is previously linked to returning to Camp Nou as their manager.
“Xavi? Of course, it would be possible that he could return to Camp Nou,” Laporta said. “It would be the best solution for the club like Barcelona, there will come the best time for him to join Barcelona and he knows very well when to consider it. He has to decide then.”
Laporta told Gol’s Youtube Channel”This is a project in which I am most interested and it makes me very excited, I am assembling people to whom I trust because we have to think hard about how to revert the economic situation,”.
“The club is in a very fragile situation, that of €3 billion, and it is important to present a believable, realistic proposal and offer a sporting project that garners enthusiasm and improves our institutional image.
“I am excited about coming back, but still I have to decide when. I am more enthusiastic about turning around the club’s delicate economic situation with a proposal based on guarantees, I have advanced in this and I am very hopeful.
“I think those who are in the club right now they had to keep moving and go ahead if they walk away in such a situation the entirety of the situation which has caused the debt with which they are now faced will become visible.”
