BRUNO FERNANDES NEWS:-
Manchester united great and one of the best midfielder of his generation Paul Scholes hailed the impact which Bruno Fernandes brought to Manchester United which was missing at the Old Trafford.
Since joining the Red devils from Sporting Cp in january,he had a great and quick impact on the team performance.Manchester united went on to 11 match unbeaten without any loss since Bruno Fernandes joined them at Old Trafford.
The Young lad(Bruno fernandes) played a major role in all the games that he had played with Manchester United. He had played total nine games in all competitions with United in which the Portugal international scored 3 goals and assisted his teammates 4 times.
Scholes is very much pleased and impressed with his performance and he thinks he is one of the players who will create spark in Manchester United midfield, however he said he still don’t know which system will be the best for him.
Paul Scholes told BBC”The one thing with Bruno Fernandes is he doesn’t seem to be like central midfielder for me, he’s an out-and-out number 10. He’s great ball control, always on the half turn and he is kind of spark that United really needed,”
“They lacked that quality and creativity in their midfield and since he came in he’s had that,” Scholes continued and said “He can feed the ball in to players, he’s got a great shot on him and he looks like a leader who can lead from front as well. United had lacked that.
“Whether he can play in midfield in a two, that’s yet to be seen in forthcoming matches. He’s like an Eric Cantona, a Teddy Sheringham – he can beat any players at any point of time. He is a kind of player which United sadly missing at Old Trafford and he seems to have livened up the expectation with everyone.”
“They are still behind in league table, but they have bought a promising player in who seems to have knitted it all together”
He further added”They did have good bunch of players but missed a kind of player who can make a difference on the field- like a David Silva or Kevin De Bruyne who can glue the team together and create for other players with their attacking movements.
“I still think they are a bit off the pace, they’ve looked good lately since Fernandes came in but Liverpool and Manchester City are way ahead as a team. There are three or four signings that can help the team to grow, but for the first time in a long time you feel like they could close the gap to the top.”
