BCCI NEWS:-

One of the best T20 batsmen and former Indian bowler Suresh Raina and Irfan Pathan said that BCCI should allow the Indian players to play in different leagues outside India who are not in contention for the Indian team.

Raina said during an Instagram Live session.”I wish BCCI should plan something with ICC or the franchises of different leagues so that the Indian players get the opportunity to play foreign leagues outside India. At least allow us to play in two different foreign leagues,”

“If we play quality cricket in terms of foreign leagues, then it would be very good for us. All international players can make a comeback to the international Cricket by playing and performing in all those foreign leagues.”

Irfan, who had initiated the session and suggested that the players who are not in the reckoning or at least not playing the international cricket should at least be allowed to compete in foreign T20 leagues.

“There is a different mindset in different countries. Michael Hussey made his debut at the age of 29 for Australia but the same doesn’t go with the Indian players if they want to make his debut at the age of 30 in International Cricket. I think as long as you are fit and maintained the fitness, you should be allowed to play for your country,” said the former all-rounder Irfan Pathan.

“I would suggest that all those players who are 30 years old and are not playing the international Cricket should be allowed to play in foreign leagues.”

The BCCI does not permit any Indian players to play in overseas leagues unless they have formally announced their retirement.

The only player to play in a foreign league with no objection certificate from BCCI is former Indian star player Yuvraj Singh making him the only Indian player to play Foreign League(Global T20 Canada) that happened Last year.
